New Participant Information and Consent Form (PICF) template

The La Trobe Office of Ethics, Integrity, and Biosafety, in collaboration with the MindCare Collective, has developed a new Participant Information and Consent Form (PICF) template to support researchers.

The template was co-designed with members of the MindCare Collective’s culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) Advisory Group and user-tested through MindCare Digital (MCD) workshops, with feedback informing improvements to clarity, accessibility, and cultural responsiveness.

It is intended to assist researchers in meeting ethical requirements while promoting clear, accessible communication with participants, particularly those from CALD communities.

The template should be adapted to suit individual study contexts and relevant institutional ethics requirements.
